The Campaign for Wool is calling on knitters to get together to celebrate British wool as part of its LoveWoolUK event, which will be running during this year’s Wool Week - Monday 15 to Sunday 21 October 2012.

If you’d like to get involved and show your support, you can sign up online via the Campaign for Wool’s website and click the pink heart of LoveWool UK.
For those signing up, there’ll be free patterns and kits from Rowan, Jamieson & Smith and the British Wool Marketing Board.
“We had amazing support last year, with 700 separate events – on beaches, in cafes, parks, museums and knitting shops,” says Bridgette Kelly of the Campaign for Wool. “Activities that people did in 2011 ranged from knit ’n’ natters to felting and spinning displays, wool fashion shows and sheep runs down the local high street!”
