Sharon at Great British Yarns explains why she’s fallen in love with the latest creations from knitwear designer Kate Davies.
We’re really excited to have the new Kate Davies designs in our shop, printed patterns of which are selling very well. You can see how lovely the designs are here. I particularly love the one pictured at the top of the page – doesn’t it just seem to spell out freedom?
The Betty Mouat cowl, pictured left, looks like the softest thing imaginable, and there are also some fun patterns for items such as tea cosies, gauntlets and mittens.
We are also selling Studio Donegal Soft Tweed (pictured left) which is used for a couple of Kate's patterns) and Aran Tweed. These are Irish yarns, both real Donegal Tweeds, and just gorgeous.
The Soft Donegal is a 100% merino wool and the Aran Tweed is pure wool, and both knit to aran weight – perfect for Autumn knitting projects.
The price is £7.99 per 100g for the Soft Donegal and £3.25 per 50 for the Aran Tweed.
How could you resist?
