We’re already looking forward to the weekend, mainly because there are masses of knitting workshops taking place this Saturday.
The first to catch our eye (partly because it’s so sparkly!) is Emma King’s ‘Knitting with beads and sequins’ course – the perfect way to add some sparkle to your knitting! The workshop takes place at Castle Donington’s Threads of Live wool shop (Threads of Life, 67 Borough St, Castle Donington, Leics. DE74 2LB).
Taking part costs £50, including refreshments, lunch and materials.
Visit www.threadsoflife.co.uk or call 01332 811597 for more information.
Then there’s ‘Homewares: a sense of scale’ with Marie Wallin, a Rowan weekend workshop at Holmfirth, Yorkshire.
Visit www.knitrowan.com or call 01484 681881.
Also this Saturday, you can attend 'Crochet: the next level' at Fibre + Clay, Knutsford, Cheshire, taught by Sarah Hazel.
Visit www.fibreandclay.co.uk or call 01565 652035.
Cables and lace with Heike Gittins takes place at Baaramewe in Headingley, Leeds, on 09 April, and covers using a cable needle, doing a yarn over on a purl row, and understanding lace charts.
The cost is £45.
Visit www.baaramewe.co.uk or call 0113 2781788.
If that isn’t enough to keep you going, next Wednesday (13 April) you can take part in a Felted Bag workshop at the Tigerlily Makes Workshop near Lichfield, Staffordshire. Visit www.tigerlilymakes.co.uk or call 0845 543 9046.
And if you go on any of these courses, don’t forget to let us know how you get on – we’re always happy to receive feedback from knitters on any knitting events. Just send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or add a comment below.
