Lily France’s chic, fitted short-sleeved top will delight knitters with its seamless construction.
Lily loves to create elegant, flattering garments with neat fine details that experienced knitters really appreciate.
You can get hold of this pattern by buying a digital version of The Knitter Issue 35.
This beautifully fitted top is constructed seamlessly with mock set-in sleeves. It has been designed with significant negative ease for a sleek look.
The texture detail on top of shoulders adds interest while maintaining the subtle feel of the garment.
The garment in our photos (modeled by Lily herself) had an extra 31/2cm of length added between the armhole and waist to give a perfect fit, as Lily is tall.
This required a further 20g of yarn for a standard size 10. If adding extra length, please be aware that larger bust sizes will require more yarn for the same increase in garment length.
Slip stitches purlwise with yarn to WS of work unless otherwise stated.
Alternative provisional cast-on methods may be used, but the instructions have been written using the waste yarn provisional method.
