Bergère de France has launched its new Créations pattern book for autumn-winter, and the collection features 45 stunning designs, all with the French company’s trademark style and innovation.

Bold textures are the order of the day, with many of the patterns for men and women featuring thick, oversized cables. The photography will utterly transport you, with quintessentially Gallic streets providing enticing backdrops. We can just imagine strolling along them in search of a tiny, tucked-away yarn shop!

Patterns include a casual Aran-style sweater for women, knitted in Bergère’s new yarn, Pur Merinos Français, and a rugged, high-neck cabled sweater for men knitted in cosy Alaska yarn, as well as garments for children.

Other new yarns that are introduced in the book include Cosmos, an alpaca blend, which is used for a furry-collared poncho, the tweedy Duvetine which creates a textured, cropped jacket, and Norvège, a tactile mohair blend.

There are also charming designs for children, including a hooded jacket for little boys, and a sweet little jumper complete with knitted gingerbread man! 

Créations 12/13 is available to buy from the Bergère de France website for £7, along with previous season’s collections. Prices for the new yarns start at £2.90 for a 50g ball of Cosmos yarn.
