Review and giveaway: Sweet Shawlettes by Jean Moss

Sweet Shawlettes book coverThe New Year is often a time when knitters turn frugal, eschewing new yarn purchases in favour of finishing old projects and stashbusting.

Jean Moss’ new book, Sweet Shawlettes, might just be the one treat you should allow yourself, even if you are on a yarn diet.

The book has 25 projects to choose from, many of which use a few balls of different colour yarns, making them a great quick knitting fix too!

The Harlequin Cape on the cover requires just 2 balls of Rowan Colourscape Chunky, while the stunning Mantilla Shawlette takes 3 balls of perennial favourite Kidsilk Haze.

At The Knitter we’ve fallen head over heels for the Ceilidh tartan inspired design (pictured below) – look out for it in the magazine very soon.

Jean has been producing her own collections for more than 20 years and has designed for international fashion houses such as Ralph Lauren, Laura Ashley and Bennetton.
